Company description::
London – UK – March 23, 2004. PurpleWisdom Consultants (PurpleWisdom) the UK’s first consultancy that specialises in helping computer entertainment software companies deal with the varied and complex creative and management issues that result from larger, more complex production models is pleased to announce the creation of a new networking tool for developers, managers and studios. PurpleWisdom is glad to be able to give the game development community, something from the ground up designed to help developers and industry players to talk and meet by electronic means.

PurpleWisdom believes that there is too much fragmentation of knowledge within games. There is no concentration of knowledge or even a central place for people to connect with each other. Developers are creative people and as a consequence should be able to talk with each other in a straight forward way. PurpleWisdom is glad to deliver an independent platform for this to happen. “Professionals with-in games have nowhere they can check into and jam with other developers. Only if you got 1000$ and an air-line ticket to the US can you even begin to experience the benefits of networking or lucky enough to be picked to go. Only then can you understand that talking with people can multiply your effectiveness and professionalism. Where does an artist go if can not work something out? Were does a programmer get advice on how to turn a trick with a particular console. Were does someone with a great game idea go to get interest. Right now, with the way things are. There was nowhere. Now there is. ” said founder of PurpleWisdom Consultants, Tom Kelly

PurpleWisdom hopes that our forum will allow developers to create a community of there own. It’s about giving not only some way to deal with day to day issues but also the bigger picture issues. PurpleWisdom gives interactive platforms for “Open Discussion” such as our “Developers Voice” section. “This section is about talking about the way things are, how mangers get it wrong and how they get it right. By this means it can bring benefits all-round. Public debate” said Tom Kelly. “We look forward to see how it forms over the next few months and shall endeavour to fine tune it to what the games community wants.”
